Early 70’s I always gravitated to the Eagles more than Steve Miller😉

Ironically there was a Glenn in that band as well.
And also ironically, Glenn Miller had a son named Steve Miller.

Saw a lot of Abbot and Costello reruns. Bowery Boys was not on around here in my time as far as I know.

As for Glenn Miller's death...

As for Glenn Miller's death...
My dad told me all about it growing up.

The Dorsey brothers were actually from my dads neck of the woods where he grew up (and later retired after he got out of the military). Glenn Miller and the Dorsey brothers were in the same band at one time.

I texedt my son about Bruce Springsteen's mom's death. There was a part mentioned where Springteen danced with his mom to Glenn Miller's "In the mood". My son knows that song like the back of his hand.

Funny enough, when we saw our boy during graduation from basic, he told me he ended up in the chuch choir to do something on Sunday mornings. He said he and some fellow airmen would sing Springsteen to pass the time away (they really missed listening to music). Boy mentioned that no one knew Thunder Road but him (because of his dad, and you should hear me belt out that song LOL).

What I've learned from my dad and my boy is that music is the universal language;)

Sidenote, always mentioned to my son that Springteen wrote great songs, but never understood the lyric ("you ain't a beauty, but hey you're all right" because I would NEVER say that to a girl LOL).
