That would be something nice to still have. You know you're old when your first lunch box was an old Karo syrup can that your Dad personalized by punching a star in the lid with a hammer and nail.
I still do. Especially the larger ones. Use it once to freeze/store food, Clean it out to store parts. You just reminded me of the way my grandmother used to rinse out, dry, and reuse ziplock baggies. She was a teen and young adult, thru the depression. Even though they could afford to throw away and replace ziplock baggies, she just couldn't bring herself to waste anything.
My daughter just turned 56, I guess that makes me old!!!Screw that. You're old when your child starts getting AARP membership offers in the mail.![]()
Good one!!!!!Mom said you know you are old when your kids retire.
You’re right about that!!! We had to listen to that one multiple times, every time he said “ they’re dead “ we both had to laugh!!!Best one yet!!!![]()
As a little guy I liked sardines. In aboot grades 3-8 I had it at least 3 times a week. Other kids didn't want to sit next to me while they ate their P&J.You know you're old when your first lunch box was an old Karo syrup can that your Dad personalized by punching a star in the lid with a hammer and nail.
You know you're old when the first school lunch room smelled like 100 years of apples, fried egg and pork chop sandwiches; old bananas and bologna.
