I committed to completing 3 projects this year that I started 3 years ago. There is nothing more permanent than something put in temporary.
I committed to not starting any new projects for myself until I finish up or get rid of the many that are not completed, unless the wife says she wants something. That's OK. :ROFLMAO:

It's the tip of an iceberg. The car wasn't made for the V8...so really you need a tube frame, then suspension, brakes, transmission, rear end...on & on.
A friend had a Sunbeam Tiger (Get Smart TV show), Ford 260 (they had one with 289). Nice car!
Actually the right V8 weighs about 100 #s more than some of the original 4 or 6 bangers. I have a tube frame V8 kit car already. I should just work on it some more....

I just read something I never knew:
Ferrari's 2-liter V8 engine was used in the 208 GT4, 208 GTB, and 208 GTS. It was the smallest production V8 engine in history.

I would expect it was a smooth high reving little engine, much like the Jaguar V-12 which as I recall was only a 327 cu. in. motor but it ran smooth.

Buick made some small aluminum block V8s in the early 60s. So did Rover which they put in some Triumphs etc.
The buick 215 V8 weighed in at 318 pounds and made 155 hp. The MG 4 banger weighed 320 pounds making 68 hp.

My wife willed her 1959, XK150 Jaguar Drop Head Coupe to our oldest son.
I gave it to her as a birthday gift around 1988.

There was no way I could continue to maintain it.
It was the 3 side draft carb model with porcelain exhaust manifold.
I do remember the owners manual suggest for extend use in excess of 100KMPH be sure to engage overdrive.

He wrote to Jaguar in 2021 and for $150 USD they sent him a birth certificate with all the manufacturer details like date of mfg, trim, colors, etc. with serial numbers of the major parts in a really neat folder.

I had no idea that they built Jaguar cars in 1888. 😆
