Did the front end of the tractor come up, or was the BH not strong enough to handle the weight? (I'm guessing the latter)

I was pulling it of straight with the mini but I must have been a touch off and the last piece of strapping on the deck turned it.

Broke the case on the tranny but there is a good welding shop down the road that does aluminum.

Got it in though.

Bought a 5.4l, tranny and tires off a truck being parted out. Buddy delivered the whole front clip plus the t-case. I think it was a good deal for $1100 (it's a Ford)

The transfer case is not aluminum its magnesium I did something similar it took 3 tries welding it up to stop seeping fluid

yep - $1100 is a fantastic bargain. I've been looking for a 390cid Ford engine. Seems a rebuilt long block alone runs close to $3K. I'm also shocked at the prices junk yards are getting for used parts.

Friend is building a pre-runner, one of those baha trucks. He bought the truck and it has a full tank of gas so he was driving it around, thing ran so nice he was thinking of keeping it and buying something else.
