Now have to contend with FIVE golden retrievers all vying for attention! As mentioned in the Visiting Vermont thread, we were trying to get the dogs away from a puppy mill in the southern part of the state. The dastardly owner took off with all his unspayed females to start over again somewhere else, but left an aging stud male behind. Harley was rescued after being locked in a house for three weeks. He'd eaten everything there was to eat, and the place was FILTHY, but he's in good spirits and craving attention (and all the food he sees, smells, or hears!!!
And boy is he BIG! It took us several hours to wash and groom him, and while he has large gaps in his fur and one of the sorriest looking tails around, he's a big, lovable mush of a dog.
So welcome Harley when you arrive!
