His CK27 isn't a wet sleeve so the Prestone would be ok and a 50/50 mix would cover the temp range easily.

You did use distilled water right? I've heard that the minerals in tap water are best avoided.

The manual is very specific, as much as you can trust the manual anyway. The specified fill is permanent "PT" type antifreeze and fresh clean water. It can be just water in the summer or 50/50 in the winter. I chose to use 50/50 by adding a single gallon of antifreeze to the two gallon capacity system after a complete flush.

Don't need to worry about additives with these tractors they don't have piston liners therefore no cavitation. Got a diesel truck? Worry about it.

Sounds easy enough,,believe I 'd drain,fill with distilled water,run it a few min,drain again,,than just refill with 50/50 mix,,[if 50 50 mix goes down cold enough,might get 10 below here rarely,but would want it maybe 30 below],,so if 50 50 wouldn't do that,would do like you did,just add a little less water?

I have A DK55 and after several hours of hard work we come home and the next day it requires about 1/2 gallon of coolant to top off the radiator. Has anyone else seen this issue? No signs of leakage oil looks fine What should i do?
