Got my rake at an auction of old equipment at a rental place. When some tines get bent, they sell when you can actually straighten them out fairly easily. I paid $100, which was little more than junk value for an 8 ft rake. It's helpful in pulling gravel back into my driveway.

I also saw a nice rake at an auction a month ago. I'd keep an eye on farm auctions in your area, on CraigsList, and on rental agencies who might be planning to add new equipment.

I got a nice used 7 foot landpride rake of craigslist for about 25% of new price

I used to have a seven foot Land Pride that I sold to a neighbor when I moved. I had put the wheel kit on and it is well worth it. The one thing I always wanted to do but never got around to was to jury rig hydraulics to control the angle. Else, you find yourself on and off the tractor many many times.
