By surge I mean the rubber hydraulic hose that feeds the rear valve tightens up like its sucking hydro fluid extremely hard..the hose tightens up then releases..it literally goes from hanging to drawing up..like trying to suck air through a straw..almost like it is trying to move hydraulic fluid to fast through it and its restricted.

But yes again to it does it as the implement tries to lower/fall

Is so noticeable when I was driving across the farm in high gear 3 when it surged I can feel the speed of tractor slow up for a sec..

I'm thinking speed of tractor slowing is because the lift is picking up to compensate for the drift down. Maybe the tightening of the hose is pressure from that.

I think I will leave well enough alone on this...it doesn't do this with my other implements. Don't think I want to open a can of worms for just one implement that is probably to much for the little yanmar anyway..I'll save this for when my lighter implements give it a time.

My oring looked good when it was taken out, was some wear where it just naturally rubs the sides of the cylinder but it looked good, it made a big difference and i did nto think i really had a problem before, which i didnt. My valve is where the leak occurs. I pulled my vavle apart several times and the ym2000 is not hard, just some cracy C clips or pieces to take out not eclips or snap rings but halves or snap rings? Took some good pressure to take the pressure off of it to work and you need tweasers to pull them out. But i had a part fall out and i did not see where it went so i had to do trial and error test as i could not get it right, i finally had an ah ha moment and figured it out but i pulled it down several times. Your vavle is not the same so i cant say how different it is from mine. But tehre is an oring in there to replace as well.

I think you are making a wise decision.
