Tractor
Yanmar 2000B
Just purchased a Yanmar 2000B from a friend in Northern NH. I have property up there and am doing some work on it. This is a 4-Wheel drive unit with a TAZ loader. One ofthe front hubs is leaking oil. Is there a gasket or a seal that can be replaced to fix this? This tractor has 100 hrs on a "Factory Rebuild". Pd $5000.00, think that is fair?
This is my third tractor, the others are a 1946 D4 and a 1960's Case 530 backhoe loader.

Yes and yes, although a "100 hour factory rebuilt" tractor should not need seals.

I've not done a front but the rear wheel seal replacement was very easy on my YM2000!

What factory? The Yanmar factory does not rebuild any equipment, and a "factory rebuild" generally implies the OEM.

I thought I had heard all brand loaders . TAZ loader:confused: Must be some house brand:confused:

I'am also curious. What factory

Obviously, a factory in Vietnam.

Yanmar's factory is in Osaka Japan, Yanmar doesn't have a factory in Vietnam. Like LMTC stated, "factory rebuilt" in it's correct usage refers to a rebuild accomplished by the original equipment manufacturer.

The term "Factory Rebuilt" being used by grey market importers is misleading.

Thats what I was refering to, a Vietnam "factory" re-build. Come on guys, lets not play dumb. Dzel probably isn't aware of all the controversy.

I do agree though. I think that the term "factory re-conditioned" is supposed to And Should mean that it came from the OEM factory.

Yes, that sure is a fine tractor. I'm sure you'll get your money's worth out of it.

I think Travis had tongue firmly in cheek with the "vietnam factory"- considering all the references to vietnam reconditioned tractors around here.
