Ym2000 pto shaft seal/rear bearing

While removing the pto rear seal I found the bearing on the pto shaft in pieces. I removed rear cover plate and the entire gear system came out with it I removed the old bearing and believe I have everything sitting back in how it was but, when I stuck my hand in the bottom of the case to feel for parts I found one snap ring and an unidentified object if anyone can offer advice on where they may have came from? I heard one thing fall as I was sliding the gears out and believe it was the drive shaft and the coupler. Also on the back of the main cover plate there is two small bolts around the oil seal, they don't seem to be holding anything, it seems to me there should be a small plate that slides over the pto output shaft and holds the seal in? Thanks for advice here is the pic of the piece I found in the bottom of the case; well I don't know how to add a picture the piece is a small u shaped piece approx 10" long and 1/8" in diameter [______ kinda like that with a line on the top as well.

I have not pulled the PTO unit before so i can not say and i dont have a picture but you can see a diagram on HOYE's page. I know someone here has a pic they can post, that person just has to be on here?

Check and see if the Hyd. Screen/ Filter is there. #4 - Yanmar Tractor Parts: HYDRAULIC_SYSTEM
And the clip looks like the one for the Bearing hold down on the PTO. Shaft? Yanmar Tractor Parts: TRANSMISSION_INTERNAL

You can see it were the PTO Shaft is coming out of the Tractor.

The big 'U' shaped piece goes inside of the hydraulic screen to hold it in position.

there should be a small plate that slides over the pto output shaft and holds the seal in?

The seal is just a tight fit into the case. There is nothing else that holds it in.

This is the clip I was referring to. Relatively easy access. If it's there then rule it out. I had to replace my Screen/Filter so I new what that part was. It was pretty beat up also.

That is def the screen hold down, and it makes sense that the snap ring could be from the pto bearing as that was in pieces. Where does the filter go so I can check for the rest of it? Also, some of the drawings are hard for me to understand does anyone have the part number for the pto shaft bearing/race and snap rings closeat to the output shaft and the oil seal behind it? Also what type of oil do you recommend

Hyd. Screen is the Grn. Triangle. And the U from memory that is the inside of the filter. When you take the Tri. plate off your find out whats left of it. Probly not much so who knows what your find. Yanmar Tractor Parts HYDRAULIC SCREEN ASSEMBLY - IN STOCK!
I use JD-303 spec. Universal Trans Hyd. fluid. I pick it up at WallyWorld you need about 4.5 gal.

yes thats the correct screen. I think there all the same?
