YM2000 hydraulics seem "weak"

He said in his frist Post that it would pick up a box blade and tiller without any trouble. In post 20 he said The 3 point lift worked like crazy with his box blade I think it is in his Top link and his Floating top link on the Finishing Mower. The Finishing Mower has to Float That is were he is getting the play at.

If the lift going up stalls the tractor.. that means you have some linkags out of adjustment. At some point there should be a feeler linkage that senses piston travel and cuts the hyds off at max travel to prevent the pump from stalling and damaging the pump or the lift.

I'm really surprised a relief didn't lift at some point.

While the actual method of max lift cutout will varry based on how the pump intake is controlled ( intake valve or unloading valve ).. there should be max travel limits that are sensed and then shut the oil off.. or a straight relief based system.. Really sounds like you will be pulling a lift cover..

Soundguy, he didn't say it killed the motor, he said he killed it with the implement up and it stayed up, indicating that it would hold pressure OK.
I wonder if he's trying to lift something that's too heavy for his tractor?

On re-read i see that now. Hmm.. A couple extra supporting words would have made that much clearer and easier to parse.

If he is trying to lift something to heavy.. the relief would sure pop .. though.. I know my 1700 will lift the front end of the tractor pretty easilly, without poping the relief.. etc.
