YM2000 gearboxoil filter conversion

Hey guys.

Does anyone know of a conversion for the gearbox/hydraulic oil filter for the YM2000?

When I changed the oil earlier this year the mesh filter was bent and covered in 1/8th inch of gunk on each side. Also the O-ring wasn't seating properly.

I was wondering if anyone had experimented with different filters and machining up an interface.

I have not seen one specifically for a Yanmar, but you should be able to get a generic type that you could install in line somewhere (if you have an FEL) from a truck supply. Garbage trucks and cement trucks use them and so does a lot of the tilt bed type haul trucks
