YM1500 PTO #1 Position

My wife looked out the kitchen window last night and exclaimed that there was a Yanmar parked in the back yard.

My neighbor inherited a YM1500D as of yesteday and brought it over for a little info. He doesn't have a manual yet. I was able to help with everything but the PTO. I haven't owned one for several years, and as I recall, mine had the PTO positions marked on the fender. His didn't have any markings.

Can anybody tell me which PTO position relative to neutral is #1?

On my 1610d start from bottom and it is 1 N 2 3.

I thank you both. That is what I thought it was, but without spinning up something like the brushog.

The 1500 is different. Pull the handle back for #1. The only way I can remember is that if it is forward (2nd) it makes the footroom, which is barely adequate, even less.
3rd is down and forward, as I recall.

Reb is right. Back for #1 then neutral then 2nd.

My 1500D is back for #1 and forward for 2 and 3 is foreward down.
