YM 2000A Model numbers

Hello Guys I just purchased a YM 2000A, Does any one know what the A stands for and are there more than one model of the YM2000?

There is a YM2000B, BD (4wd).

I suspect the 2000A is just a mid-production model between the 2000 and the 2000B, which has a few refinements over the 2000. It has a higher-back seat, more sheet metal covering the engine, a temp gauge, and a different type coolant drain, requiring a smaller oil filter. There may be other differences that I am not aware of.

Does it have "A" om it some where or did the seller tell you it was an A. There is not an "A" model that I have ever seen. There is the 2000 and then there are the "B" series tractors. The B's have different side panels, headlight bezel, and dashboard. Operationallyand mechanically they are no different.

Thanks for the Reply. On the back left Fender is a tag with
YM2000A second line there is 935 with Japaneeze written on the tag. On the Engine there is another tag with 2TR20A-A
on it. THANKS

Frame serial # will be on trans. housing, about where your left ankle would be if you were sitting with your feet flar. The "A" is important for parts, as the 2000 and 2000A, more commonly known as green and red, use some different parts, particularly axle seals on the frame and head gasket on the engine. I've seen engines & frames mixed, so check both.
