I gave up a long time ago trying to find a clever way to add a cup holder to my Kubota. This is a pix of the approach I've used for a while now.

Recently I was looking at some commercial products to mount equipment on my motorcycle and saw something that was perfect. Ram Mounts Cup Holder

So, I took the easy way out and bought a commercial product that puts the holder just where I want it. Thas the advantage of being able to hold a cup of coffee fairly well too.

Slightly fuzzy picture from the right. Shows mounting details.

Last pix from the left side.

Yeah, I know I took the easy way out and it ain't exactly cheap. But, I was dropping a bundle on the motorcycle and thought there should be something in it for the tractor too.

Neat enough, but there ain't near enough water in them bottles for me. I keep a half gallon rubbermade jug hung on the rear view mirror arm. The mirror broke years ago when I rolled the tractor, and I haven't missed it for a minute. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

v8Dave Nice looking holder.

Here's a simple idea that will work for most any tractor and only cost me a couple of bucks to make. It can be made in any size to accommodate your cup, mug, jug, can, or whatever. cup holder

On my JD 4210, it has a cup holder but not large enough to hold a good size cup. Recently I installed vinyle fencing and had a piece of 5" post left so I cut a slot to accomodate my cup handle. Then I used a 1/8" metal strip as a backing plate, inserted that in the FEL post then screwed the 5" post to the backing plate.
Here's a pic of the cup holder with a "refill" jug underneath.
Here's another pic with the cup above the holder.

Seon I like your cup holder, especially the way it fits the handle of the cup. The only thing I might do different is to find a can of JD green spray paint so it really looks like it's got a home. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Mike I really hate to call you a liar in public, but if you had to do it differently you'd get a can of New Holland blue spray paint!

Sorry Mike, I just had to do it! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Maybe he realizes there is a way to upgrade that ol' Ford! (That green paint might increase the sales value some too! It sure does add to the price of JD's offerings)
