Recently I had to replace a front drive seal. Having lost much of the gear lube I replaced it with MasterPro GL-5 80w-90 gear oil, "High performance extreme pressure gear lubricant" about 2 months ago. The oil does not say its yellow metal safe. Now I've recently read about older tractors having yellow metal in their front drives. So I'm worried now. My tractor is a 1985. Do I have the yellow metal? Should I change the gear lube?
