a cultivator head. Got it for 50 cents! other things i got arent from garage sales, but from people that are willing to sell me most anything.
I haven't been to a Garage/Yard sale lately. Bought to much stuff during early years of living at our place.
I am now the guy that sells items at a garage sale every few years. Lots of guy stuff that has not been used in years.
The city has moved out to my area. But is zoned minimum 3 acre lots. Lots of guys and gals looking for country stuff.
Use to go to the Coupeville WA. lyons club garage sale every June at the Coupeville school. After about 1 PM, everything was free! I had great finds on all sorts of things for free.
All the yard and estate sales around here start on Wednesday. For those of us that are still employed, (not yet retired), the good stuff is already picked through. Now the Saturday auctions are a whole different thing.....
I don't do yard sales but do used clothing stores which sell things other than clothes as well.
Recent finds over the years including the latest...
Carhart insulated coveralls with zipper to knees: retails here about $165.00 - price I paid $14.00
Carhart coveralls: retails here about $80.00 - price I paid $4.00
LL Bean boots: retails here about $95.00 - price I paid $10.00
LL Bean Barn Jacket: retails here about $65.00 - price I paid $6.00
Colonial Williamsburg andirons: retails here about $150.00 - price I paid $15.00
Most of my clothes are from used outlets like this. Everything from down jackets to khaki shorts from all of the best names. The stuff mentioned above still had the retail tags on them.
My best find was a double breasted wool suit - Perry Ellis which retailed for around $800 in the USA.
I paid $12 bucks. It too had the retail tags on it.
