Rake Yard Rakes?

I have the Land Pride LR1572? Medium duty 6' rake with the guage wheels...
I think the whole thing comes to $750.00.

The amount of tractor you need to pull a specific size rake depends on how
deep your cutting and what the mediun your cutting and raking is...

I just did a bunch of driveways that were all stone... Cutting in an inch and a half.
When that stone starts to pile up in the rake it gets heavy. Plus the rake with the wheels
on it must weigh 500lbs...

Thanks for the advice on getting a 6'er. I'll start checking in that size as I'm not in a big hurry to get one right away. Also, thanks for giving me a general idea of what to expect to pay on average (both ways).

creeper: That price is for a 5'er but I wouldn't think that a 6'er will be a whole lot more. I'll stop by the dealers again when I can to find out some more info for you.

Gerard, I bought a Woods LRC60 for $450. Gauge wheels where quoted at $229. I was considering the KK XB 5' rake at TSC for $400. The Woods was worth the extra $50 in my opinion. The KK's where weathered and quite rusty. I doubt the Woods rakes any better than the KK but I like buying new equipment that looks new.
