A while back, during my rainy period someone asked about a long lasting fence that was dog proof and was easy to weed under. This was my answer. That's 2 7/8 oil field pipe, the concrete is 24 inchs wide, with 3 peices of #3 rebar, center one welded to the posts. Wire support at bottom is 7/8 sucker rod. 2 coats red primer, 2 coats aluminum topcoat. Commerical 6' chainlink. I figure it's the last fence i'll put up in my lifetime.

I do a lot of fencing work and that's one of the nicest jobs I've seen in a long time. I expect you're right. That's about the last fence you'll ever need to build. Sure is nice to see somebody do it right the first time.

My hat's off to ya.

A very good fence design. Sure looks neat and clean and should stay that way. Dog's won't easily be digging under that now, will they? John

Thanks guys,
I might add, our home is the only one out this way that hasn't been broken into. But I'm not sure if it's the fence or the two pit bulls behind it.

I'm voting for the pit bulls behind it. As we all know, fences and locks don't keep out determined thieves who care nothing about how much time and effort one put in to owning something.
I hope you get to find out how well the bulls work when some dummy tries to get into your place! Clamp and hold babies! John

Just took another look at that fence... I can't seem to find the sign saying, "My dogs can make the fence in 2.3 seconds, can you?" Good on ya!

Slim,
Good old Texas, is a right to bear arms state. My wife scored a 93% with her 357 S&W, and I scored a 100% with my 44Mag S&W on our carry permits. Just in case the dogs need any help!
