Question on changing my oil in my tiller. From what I can find searching on here I need to change the oil in 2 places on the tiller -- the gear box which has a dipstick on top in the center of the tiller and also the chain box which has a dipstick on top on the side of the tiller. Both of these take 90 wt gear oil.....if any of this is incorrect please let me know.
My questions are where are the drains for these?
Gear box -- is this plug right below and to the side of where the PTO attaches?
Chain box -- is this plug down at the bottom of the chain box?
How much oil does it take to fill each place?
I read where one person fills the chain box with diesel and turns it a few times, then drains and fills with 90 weight. Is this common? It is really white in there right now.
Thanks for any help.
