Yanmar L70ee Air Cooled Diesel not running, NEED HELP!

So i bought this small single cylinder Yanmar L70ee diesel engine from a guy. He said it ran a leaf vac system, he told me the head gasket blew out and it had a bent push rod. He replaced the head gasket and the push rod. He gave me the bag the gasket came in and there are 3 more copper head gaskets in it, these are probably just extras right? The engine will turn over and blow white smoke out the exhaust but it will not fire or run. I poured a little oil in the intake and it fired and ran for about 3 seconds and stopped. I bled all the air out of the lines and tried again, nothing! I even removed the injector and hooked it up so i could see if it was shooting fuel out and it was, perfect pattern and everything. My questions are #1 what do you guys think is wrong? #2 why is white smoke coming out of the exhaust when it turns over but it will not fire!? #3 what is the head bolt torque for this engine? Also what should the valves be adjusted to?

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

I am re powering a snow blower with this engine.
