Here you go. This photo caused quite a stir in the mid 1980s, as did the attached list of where tractors were actually manufactured. That was a different era, and many values were different as well.

I don't remember anything of a stir. When we bought our 950, it was common knowledge it was built entirely by Yanmar.

I also think the photos of Yanmar and green JD's on the same assembly is cooked up. For the same reason you don't see Chryslers, Rams and Dodge Challengers all on the same line.

I can see tractors on the same assy line. Different than dodge challengers and dodge trucks on the same line. They make trucks at a truck plant good bit of difference in a car ,and a truck assy. plant.
Not near the difference is these two tractors as there would be a chrysler challenger and a dodge truck
