Yanmar 336D FEL only works when 3 point is raised to max and straining the engine!?

I don't know if it will hurt or not. It may cause the relief in the valve open sooner or stay open due to higher pressure. I'm just thinking out loud here and don't really know. I suppose you could try it

To set the relief valve correctly you need to install a temporary tee and pressure gauge on the inlet line to the valve.
