yanmar 1900,black smoke

running my 23 hp today ,started blowing black smoke than it died,coolant is fine,but check the oil and it was over filled and smelled like diesel fuel,now will not start,will drain and refill with oil ,any buddy heared or seen this happen

if it is "making" engine oil the it could be esp if smelled like deisel is a bad injector pump. There is a chace that the hydro pump could be leaking into oil also, check hyd. fluid. My guess is that the injector pump is bad.
