When i engage the bush hog and depress the cluth there is a sound at the very begening, after is runing the sound is gone. Sound like hitting something inside the transmmision, but this sound is only when i use the attachments. HELP. THA:confused:NKS.

could be the v belt in the brush hog spray some belt dressing on the belt mite stop the noise also belt mite be loose and slips at start up.

Are you sure that it is not coming from the hog? They are noisey when first starting up. It could also be coming from the overrun clutch (assuming you have one)

Is this with any attachment or just the hog ??

If its a ticking sound, it could be the internal overrunning clutch in the tractor.
There's 2 cogs in the 186 that wear out after time.
