So i want to change the oil's in my tractor. Its a 1980 155D Green in color. Im just wondering on what type to put in. I would guess the front diff would be 80W90 and the rear would be like 46W or Hydra trans or something like that. But i just want to make sure. Also i was on hoye tractors site and they have a little intake heater(grid heater i think) was just wondering where this goes and if it helps it start any easier. I was also wondering how to adjust the brakes as mine are getting very weak. I really like the tractor and im glad i found this site as there is alot of useful information on here.

Thanks

Kiel

I,m new to the Yanmars, I just recentlly bout a little 1300 , But I have 2 bigger Isekis & I allways use 85/140 gear oil in the front axles & Hydraulic/trans fluid for the gearbox & Hydrauilics in all of them .

I cant help you on the heater or brake adjustment as I haven,t had the need to do either yet . :D , Bob

The oil is sold under a lot of names like -JD303, HyTrans, J10A, J14A, J20A,B,C,D, J27A and other numbers. They will all say something like "Hydraulic/Transmission" oil.

The glow plug just goes into the threaded plug in your intake port in the head. Just remove the plug & it will screw right in. If you have a little low compression or it is really cold outside (clearly NOT the case here in TX today... :) ) it will help a lot with the starting.
