Yangdong Y385 Siromer 304 engine breather blowing oil

Hi Guys we have a siromer 304 with a yangdong Y385 engine, we did a service on it and changed the engine oil and filter, now when the revs get reasonably high it blows oil up to the breather ( respirator) and it leaks out, should there be a gasket on the top of the breather, we just have a wing nut with a metal lid and no seal or gasket, it did not seem to be doing this before the oil change any ideas ?

You are refering to the breather on the right side of the engine block? During the oil change, did you overfill it? Did you use the same type oil(I use Rotella T 15W40) Excess oil will get splashed and more will be blown out thru the breather. Thinner oil will be more easilly carried thru the breather.

we have put in 7 litres of 15w40

Seven liters is just shy of two gallons. Seems like a bit much.

And the level on the dipstick is?

from what i can see its not even showing on the dipstick now, it was about 3/4" up the dipstick when we filled it the dipstick looks like it has had something rubbing on it as it has like a wear mark on it

Y385 oil capacity:
5.36 quarts to be exact, you put in about 7.4.
