XUV Diesel Gator in Water

My friend has between 550-600 hrs. on his Gator 620i with original belt and clutch. It's not "mudded". But it is in mud almost daily. It has been suprisingly reliable. Last week, a front wheel bearing was replaced. But that is all!

In regards to the torque value of ~188 ft/lbs, that could be the torque available in low range at the transmission output. There is no way you are getting 188 ft/lbs out of a gas engine that only puts out 40/50 hp without some expensive technology. It must be the torque value after all the gear reductions. If it has a 5:1 final drive ratio that would work out about right for taking in 40 ft/lbs and putting out 188 ft/lbs while losing about 12 ft/lbs through friction and other losses. I do not even think my 1970 F350 with the 350 cubic inch motor has much more than 175/200 ft/lbs. Torque is not directly related to RPM, whereas hp equals torque times RPM divided 5252. So if torque is a constant 100 ft/lbs regardless of RPM then HP with go up directly with RPM but the reverse is not the same.
