XUV arrived today

My XUV620i arrived at my home today. First impression......amazing machine! I am anxious to put it to use. I shopped around for quite awhile and was unable to get too great of a deal.....everybody I talked to wouldn't budge much on the price. Regardless, I am happy with my purchase and look forward to putting on some hours.

Im close to pulling the trigger myself. Let use know how things work out. Also let us know if there is a rattle in the rear. Called my dealer on friday. He had one in stock, but it was a floor model for awhile.I told him I wanted to order one. What I cant believe is the price diff. between my 2 local dealers. One was $10200, bare bones,green. Includes tax. The other dealers price is $9800 and that even included a bed linner, and skid plate and tax !!!!!! What deal did you get? Mike

yea i hear ya on the price issue . i think they are a little crazy right now on that .i test drove one a few weeks ago and if i was gonna pay over 10k for a utv i might as well get a ranger xp for the same price. it's just gonna be a waiting game right now . the price is gonna drop alot .keep us posted.

ok.......an overall review after the first few days of driving.
-very smooth and comfortable ride
-not sure if i hear a rear rattle.....i do hear the engine noise though
-easy to drive, steer, etc.
-brakes are a little slow at first........noticed this going down my first hill
-engine starts right up
-very happy with purchase

by the way, i paid $10,700 for a 620i, rear screen, ops poly roof, brush guard, front recevier, seat belt comfort strap, and cargo box power lift kit.

Gonna go with the JD green gas model. As far as options I will get the bed linner, skid plate package, and the cover. As I get more cash together I will add more. I cant wait!!!!! Fox and coyote trapping will be fun this year. Mike

i tried to order the skikd plate as well, but it is only available with the 850d. are you sure you are getting a skid plate? just curious.

i think the shik plate should be installed at the factory and it should be free.i mean a utv without a skid plate to protect the engine is not a great idea.my buddy just bought a 450 speceal edition rhino and it came with a plastic skid plate for the front diferential.lmao

i guess what i meant to say is that the 620i comes with a skid plate. the skid plate for a 850 is an option. correct?

Diesel comes standard with the plate. Its an option for the gas model. I think mine was $69 bucks~!

Are you sure you have an XUV? If you do, look under it. (That is where the skid plate goes)

Why would I purchase one if I already had one?

skip, i tried to order a skid plate when i placed my order with the dealer. he told me that it wasn't an option for my 620........that is where i got my info. wasn't trying to start a flame war.

Look under your xuv. Do you see a skid plate?
If you do. Congrats. If you don't see one. Get one. It's cheap insurance.
If your dealer can't get one, LMK and I can point you in the right direction~!

maybe your dealer installes them on his xuv's from the factory and it's already on there? did you ask if it has one already?or if he just thinks he can't get one? because he might be telling you the plate isn't a option because he had it installed already but everydealer should know what come with and doesn't come with it .now you could have a new guy doing the selling and he just ain't doing his homework how long has the seller been working there?

there is no skid plate on my xuv. when i purchased my xuv i tried to order one but my dealer said they weren't available. i called him today and thanked him for making me look like and idiot on this forum. he ordered my skid plate today and is having it shipped to me.

Don't let it bother you, somewhere, sometime or another, this happens to everyone with something new. It's that other people just don't show the interest that we do ~~~~
You didn't look like a idiot !!! It just showed that your dealer was a uneducated resource that draws a paycheck for his stupidity !!!!
That's why we ALL should read up on these forums & help each other.
