XR4150H Hub and/or bearing

Good Evening,

XR4150HC, purchased Oct 2016. Tonight while digging out from the blizzard here on the Palmer Divide my right front wheel bearing locked up as I was moving then broke free with the accompanying massive leak of oil and half an O ring and what looks like a bit of a shift in the wheel.
Question for you all, has anyone had a hub/bearing fixed past the 2 year bumper to bumper, i.e. under the powertrain warranty.

I did not get the entire warranty policy when I bought the tractor, at least I can't find it with my other documents. As best I can tell I have a 2 year bumper to bumper, or do I have more? Have a call in to the dealer who will be open in the morning, just thought I'd ask here.

Hi, I have a xr4046 and had a front wheel bearing failure last year. When I talked to the dealer he didn't think it was covered by the 5 year drive train warranty, but I called the corporate office and they said it was covered. I told the dealer and they fixed it under warranty, no problem and no cost to me. This bearing should be covered by the drive train warranty.

I would also think that would be covered under powertrain warranty. Good luck with it and keep us posted.

I just broke the steering arm, and it was covered under warranty. I dont see why a wheel bearing wouldnt be, especially since it's not that old.

Thanks. I just spoke with the dealer and it is covered by the powertrain warranty. They have another one in there now for the same thing, seems pretty common. I did also call LS corporate since they were open first and they confirmed it is a warranty item. Thanks for the replies.

I'd be curious to know if that bearing is of Chinese or Japanese origin.

I'd bet a beer that it's Chinese.

Not 'China-Bashing'. They make some good stuff when they want to, it's just that I think there was a bad run of bearings back in 2015-16.

My tractor is the 3025H and is a 2018 model. I am having to replace wheel bearings to my final drive hub assembly in what began to be from a seal leaking bad. My bearings came from Japan and I attached a picture of the outer bearing that got to hot.

NSK is supposed to be about the best there is. I think I'd let them know. seriously

It looks to me like that bearing 'spun'. Not sure it's the fault of the bearing itself. I could be way off, just a guess.

Did the bearing seize, causing it to then spin??
