Broke a 3pt stabilizer pin on the mount bracket on. My 2017 model has the older style bracket with a welded pin on the bracket and of course, the weld failed. The newer style bracket is a more robust clevis style bracket. Are the two style brackets interchangeable? Any help from your dealer or LS?

Here’s pics IMG_0781.JPG
I used white twine to hold stabilizer with broken pin close to hole in bracket for picture. I’ll try to add additional pics.

Update...
I have contacted my dealer by telephone. Parts departments person said new style bracket ‘should’ fit. He’s ordering me a clevis style bracket for each side.

Then I used the LS USA website to send them an email advising them of my situation. And... asking them if the new and old style brackets were interchangeable and would they stand behind their product. I received an automated reply stating the email was being forwarded to a product specialist. Stay tuned!

Yeah, I broke one of mine off back in '12 when I first got my 3037.
Ya just gotta stop backing up with your 3 pt on the ground.
They paid for it the first time & warned me.
I've learned and, well, almost never do it anymore.
I just do it slower.
Like most everything I do anymore. Just sayin'

I was using my rotary mower/bush hog to clear heavy brush and undergrowth on some land on a slight slope. And yes, I was doing a lot of backing up to do the initial chopping (since the tractor has so many hoses and filters that hang down on the unprotected underbelly). And I have read/seen/heard that one should backup when clearing in heavy undergrowth to avoid snagging anything in the underbelly.

And yes I was using the equipment hard. And yes the welded pin fractured at the weld. The weld acted as a shear bolt! LS must know this was a weak design since the new style bracket is way more robust and eliminates the weld.
Hopefully LS will respond before the replacement parts come in.

Update:
Just received by email a specific response from LS corporate. ‘Assembly Manager’ has told my customer service rep that the two styles of bracket are interchangeable. I then queried engineering for their insight on the design qualities.
I’ll update with their response.

3pt implements are never desigend to be driven in reverse. But, that doesnt stop people. Check out my back blade video to see what happened to a friend of mine's back blade driving in reverse.
Rotary mowers are less stressful on the 3pt, but still. I like your comment about brush snagging exposed lines and whatnot under the tractor, so drive in reverse to mow it all down. Sounds good in theory, well, until something breaks.

I wasnt brush hogging, but I was driving though some rather thick brush, and a stick gashed my fuel line. It was just enough to suck air and not drip a single drop. Took the dealer mechanic and myself a few hours to find the reason the tractor wouldnt start. Since then, I have installed a type of skid plate down there.

These tractors were designed to pull implements though a field and some light FEL work. Using them against the way they are designed is not a good idea, but we all do it. :)
