Way too windy to spray today. So, with the hour meter on the LS reading 48. something hours I did the 50 hour service.
The only real hiccup I had was the untold amount of gorilla force it took to remove the engine and hydraulic filter... The big 460 channel lock pliers saved the day, on both filters. Gotta love factory installed filters.
Did the vacuum trick to hold the hydraulic oil in the tranny. I ground down a 3/4 pvc pipe for a snug fit in the dip stick hole, some electric tape and the only oil I lost was what came out of the filter. I was tempted to change the hydraulic oil but the owners manual states just the filter. The hyd oil was clear, clean and to me smelled just like ISO 32 or 46, just plain ol' hydraulic oil one would find in a simple pump/cylinder set up. After changing both hyd. Filters, the dip stick read on the low mark after cycling loader and moving forward and backwards a little. Only two quarts brought it to the top line on the dip stick.
For engine oil my default is chevron. I went with there Delo 400 synblend 10-30. Its CJ-4/CK rated. The manual states 6 quarts, but I had closer too 7 quarts after running and adding oil to the top mark on the dip stick.
Air filter was good, just has not been that dusty yet. That will change as the year grinds on...
So, should be good till the 250 hour mark.
