The battery finally died on my tractor, and I need some advice on getting it out. There are two sensors (I think) that are in the way of picking the battery out of the tray. They are secured with red plastic tabs that are supposed to turn to release them. They're both fairly stiff and I'd like to move them without breaking them. Is there a lubricant that I can use that won't mess with the sensors?
Is there a shop manual available for this tractor?

Do you have a picture of the red tabs?

I know that the ECU has two locking tabs and that sits above the battery. If it's those, I'd leave them be.

That must be what it is. Is there any other way to get the battery out?

The manual doesn't address having to remove anything besides the terminals.

The air cleaner is attached by two bolts, remove those and tip it our of the way. The ECU is held in place by four bolts and you could remove those to get the cables out of your way.
