Correction: there is voltage at all 3 glow plugs, the center glow plug is coated in black paint which I did not notice at first, had to scrape a little off to get a reading. The other 2 plugs have no paint on them. I wonder if they have been replaced

I checked on line and Deere parts shows only one relay for the three glow plugs. Reasoning that you have power to cyl 1 and 3 would lead me to check continuity of the wiring for the middle #2 glow plug. Likely it has a loose connection between the relay and the glow plug. I don't have a manual for the 595 but would think the three glow plugs are wired in parallel.

Do you have a meter to read the current draw when the ignition and glow plugs are cycling?

Edit
I see you now have power to all three glow plugs so the question is whether the glow plugs are good. Two ways to check them, with the current clamp mentioned above or disconnect a wire from each glow plug and measure the ohms of each glow plug with key off. Measure across the glow plug terminals if it is open or high resistance then the glow plug is burned open and needs replacing. Measure across all three and post the results.

Checked current on all 3, the first and last one read about 9A when I first turn the key then slowly drop to about 6A over the course of about 10 seconds then drop to 0 when the relay kicks off. The middle plug reads 0. So I've got one bad glow plug.
Also my reading for plug 3 was taken by pulling right off the main power wire which is on the first plug. The glow plugs are then all wired in series. I checked to see if the glow plug wiring was good by removing the wire from plug 3 and rechecking my current and it was just shy of 1A so I think I also have bad wiring.

In keeping the thread correct for future readers the glow plugs are wired in parallel and it appears that the middle glow plug which is original is finally burned out. The first and third glow plugs have been replaced previously. I recommended checking the middle glow plug for resistance to determine for sure that it is opened up just to be certain about it. One glow plug while it may not be the root cause of this tractor not starting will make it easier to start after all repairs are made.

I would replace the bad glow plug before concerning myself with the wiring unless it is frayed or nicked up.

after replacing the bad glow plug and tightening down all the wires the tractor started up right away. I think a loose hold down nut on the last glow plug may have been causing it to not get the power it needed.

After getting the tractor running I changed oil, air filter and fuel filter.... once again the tractor will not start. I belive there is a procedure to priming the fuel pump, but since i have no owners manual I do not know how this is done. I tried cracking the fuel injectors but this still did not seem to help. Please help :confused3:

HERE IS A LINK TO A MANUAL that's the nice thing about Deere...online manuals for even the older ones

No pump priming procedure that I know of.
It should be the same as my x748, and it's pretty rough getting it started after a filter change. Open the throttle up, it seems to help, but there is allot of cranking.
