I have 2 acres of which about 1.5 acres needs to be cut and the rest is wooded My back yard has a significant slope and then levels of at the bottom. I like the John Deere and have settled on the X500 series for now. Later, I will move up to the x700 series. Presently, I have a X300 which is good but it does slips when I turn into the hills.
I know the about the different models within the 500 series- My question is about the X534- Does it make that much of a difference? I have read there are some issues with attachments that do not fit as smoothly (i.e. triple bagger, tire chains- you need an adaptor and it will not take a tiller) I have also read it can tear up the lawn on tight turns, and that the deck shifts on an angle on turns for an uneven cut. I assume it depends on the user and terrain- however is it worth these problems? If we were to compare the X530 with the X534 after 2 years of use which would be more satisfying?
My yard has some obstacles but not many. I would like to use it to haul a cart and maybe push snow in the winter. First are there some issues with this design???? Second, Is the maneuverability worth the other issues ?
