What should I expect cost-wise to add the 3-pt hitch, rear PTO, and a tiller for my X495?

My JD dealer over the winter quoted me approx. $1100 for the 3 pt hitch and rear pto installation on my 425. The tiller and shaft can run $1500 to $2000 and more dependent upon manufacturer and model. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

You do have another option, Deere makes a hydro tiller runs off the hydro and all you will need is the 3-point and no PTO. This tiller will list for $2200, but you should be able to get it for 2K and $500-$600 for the 3-point.

Ark,

Why not just get a standard tiller for your Kubota and pocket the difference? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I would guess it's because the L3400, as he has it listed in his signature, is equipped with the BH75 backhoe and he has no real interest in unmounting/remounting the hoe in order to do the tilling.

At least I think the BH75 is a backhoe, seems logical anyway.

Fanatic:

That is the option I'm considering first. But I have a good friend who just started work as a salesman at my local Deere dealer, and I thought that if I could get my X495 set up for tilling at a reasonably comparable price, I'd go that route so he could get a little commission and get off to a good start. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

But it looks like the TSC (KK, I believe) tiller will be much the better deal.
