X10 vs Insteon or alternatives

Yes, the SwitchLinc / Insteon switches are a cut above the old ivory-colored Leviton toggle X-10 switches. They are "Decora" styled; that means they fit behind the larger rectangular switchplate covers, unlike older, smaller toggle switches. They have a row of white LEDs that light up showing the lighting level. You can change the preset on level and ramp level (how quickly the light load fades on and off,) etc. They feel sturdy and mechanically sound. Here's a link to the Insteon switches.
