We all have our traditions right? Well ours started out many years ago when the kids were younger, much younger. Starts out long befor X-Mass. The wife and I would have a spicial dinner for our birthdays, big days what ever. We would cook hotdogs for the kids and send them off to bed. We would do steaks or lobsters or crab or oysters, something special. As the kids got older, they were not so easyly fooled. The kids would say "what are you having???" and we'd send them back up to bed. My dauater, the youngest of three, was the first to push for a taist of what "we" we having. Once it was basic snow crab, not so special now days but at the time...Up she hoped on my wife's lap and that was the begining of big trouble. Can you guess what her faverite dinner is now?? Crab. Latter we moved up to King crab for our special dinners. Now I'm an old man and my kids are in their 20's. Last few times we did the crabs and had the kids join, my daughter (and I to keep up with her) acted like it was an all you can eat buffet, "first come first get". Well to say the least there were a few disapointed eaters as the shells piled up around my daughter (and me). So after a long bit here, now we buy lots of King Crab and all pig out. It's only a good meal if there are still legs in the pot and no takers. It is now a joke, but also good eating. So much for Turkey or ham
Just though I'd share how our X-Mass tradition started, how about yours??
