Sure glad you are OK.

It won't help you any for what has already happened, but for others and for you in the future, if 4wd is engaged, the brakes will stop the front tires as well as the rears. It is a huge help in such situations.

How scary. Your tractor looks identical, well, less the slight lean to the left, as mine. It's like this happened to mine.

I too am glad to hear that you are okay. There is nothing worse than that sinking feeling you get when you start sliding on a piece of machinery.

I was out mowing at my last place which was very hilly with my older Case 4x4 which weighed in at eight tons. Having been out on the blacktop township road, I had taken it out of four wheel and forgot to put it back in.

I had driven out along the top of a field then turned left to go down and as soon as I did, the rear wheels lost traction and locked up and away I slid with my batwing pushing me. Somehow, I had the presence of mind to drop the mower. That and the hill leveling out stopped me before I went into the woods.

I slid on ice already with 380 bushels of manure pushing me with the tractor in four wheel. When I ran out of gears with the power shift, the spreader passed me and dragged me into the bushes. Once again, the damage was only to my "jockies". That and a new PTO shaft.

Just a quick update - My Dealer came yesterday to pick up my 3215. Checked the fluids, looked it over, added some fuel, and started it up. The tractor smoked for about 10 seconds (was flipped over for 4 days and hasn't been turned on since the accident on 6/8). The mechanic drove it around the barnyard and was able to drive it right up on the trailer.

I'll post an update once the damages are totaled.

Oh, and 5 more weeks in the cast for me.
