Wrapped up a nice length of fence wire today with the JD 709

I appreciate threads like this just to keep my on my toes.

We all know there are risks from operating powerful equipment in changing conditions... it never occurred to me a garden hose could be deadly...

I have solid wood blocks of varying sizes, you can never have too many. Mowed over a bunch of crumpled up napkins today, poof, just like that 100+ tiny pieces! I love people

I don't know about wire but I once turned my bush hog into the fastest hose reel you ever saw! Oops...

I've never had anything wrap up with my mower. However - my walk behind Troy Bilt rototiller is another matter. I've spent hours removing old barbed wire from the tiller. I much prefer to find old barbed wire with my single tine dirt ripper mounted on the 3-point but that's not alway the case........

The POs of my property dumped stuff everywhere. I have all of it mowed now, but I used to pick up fence wire and bailer wire all the time. I did run over a garden hose with the 6' rotary this year... it stopped the tractor dead in its tracks, I couldn't believe it.

I once sucked a dozen feet of brand new simese type coax cable out of the ground with my 917 flail mower. Caught it just where it came out of the ground. Not stuff you want splices in.

Funny... I JUST sucked something up mowing and shut the GT235 down. Haven't pulled the deck yet.

Yep, several pieces of 6x6 scrap for such occasions, jack stands as well. I sometimes dream of not having animals & fences. They always require work, whether keeping them cleaned out, trees falling, deer or animal damage. Heck, i'd have more time to fish if it weren't for fencing:confused3:
