would you trust bes buy based on this ad?

I was trying to get a spotting scope from best buy using my Credit Card Points.

Called them a few months ago. Recording spoke of high call volumes and an agent should be with you in SEVEN (I expected minutes) HOURS! Had on speakerphone. My Lady friend just burst out laughing at my pain, after being tortured with listen carefully and press this and press that.

I was told by someone the other day that printers are very tough to find. Amazon is even out into October for many. Staples was out and Best Buy was the only place to get them. They don't stock them so it was a few day wait.

We just got a computer at best buy, knew exactly what we wanted and they had it on sale.
Their service before covid was pretty spotty for us, so try to only buy certain items there we know can get serviced by a number of places as well as best buy.
As for appliances and many electronics, back-ordered everywhere, some fridges take months, if they even will show up this year.....

Best buy sucks, but i still shop there occasionally. Dont EVER purchase their store brand junk...insignia. I went against my better judgement years ago and bought insignia automobile GPS from them. Advertised lifetime updates. After 3 months i tried to update it, website told me i had to bring it in to geek squad. They wanted to charge me for it. Refused, showed them paperwork showing free updates. They would not honor it. Now i only buy things like ups memory sticks, etc from them. When i bought my Home theatre, i went and found what i wanted at their store, than told the sales man im buying it online cause bestbuy screwed me over on my gps. They lost a $3,000 sale over it. And i got it online for about $600 less.

I know many stores have very liberal return policies. A friend that worked at SEARS shoe dept told me how she would have to refund the money for a pair of year old worn out Reeboks. So we get used to this. Bestbuy is not this! You bought it, you own it. BEWARE!
