World Series Playoffs

Astros and Red Sox have played each other 24 times in the last 3 seasons.

Houston has the better record at 13-11.

The ALCS may be better baseball than the World Series.

And I think it's a safe bet that whoever emerges from the ALCS will win the World Series.

I was flipping back and forth between the Astros / Red Sox and the Houston Cougars / E. Carolina (final 42-20).

Both my teams won!

Astros had a huge 9th inning.

some of the best high drama in sports is in the playoffs and the WS...

I'm not sure what the correct term is but there is a huge problem with modern MLB...

We live in a world where getting things right is paramount...but when it comes to allowing (error prone) humans to just get it close something is wrong...
In sports instant replays often play a crucial role in the final outcomes...and even MLB uses instant replay cameras...so why don't they implement the electronic strike zone and eliminate the plethora of erroneous calls that occur in every game?
I've heard all the excuses ad nauseam and in this day and age it is just plain wrong to allow so many errors...

The term I seek may be "injustice" as that is what every ball or strike that wasn't is...an injustice to either the pitcher or the batter...

I wish they would use the instant electronic strike zone. The umpire union is strong, so it would have to be an overnight implementation.

I've long wished for umps to be given a grade, comparing their ball and strike calling to the electronic system. Those that flunk are "OUT OF HERE"!!!

Actually Rhode Island is at the frontier of Red Sox Nation. There are Yankees fans here, and they don't even feel the need to hide their allegiance, they go about brazenly. The local radio has both the Boston and NY sports scores.
