Worksaver? or?

In the process of ordering a Worksaver Post hole digger for my tractor. Any input on the quality of this? Never bought a Worksaver piece of equipment.

I've got the worksaver post pounder and post hole digger and I have no problems with the quality at all. When I bought the post hold digger I looked at deere and landpride. They were over double the cost of the worksaver and I couldn't see much difference in their medium duty model.

i have a worksaver medium duty post hole digger, have done about 400 holes and all i have ever done is replace the cutting edges once, have had no problems and it sure has saved a lot of time and effort digging in the rocky clay soil we have here. i dont know much about their light duty models.

Hi ccrcarl I bought a worksaver landscape rake it arrived a couple of days ago it looks tough and well built have been happy with it the 4 or 5 times I have used it and the price was less than others if you buy a post hole digger let us know how it is .That will be my next attachment thanks edt

I've got a Worksaver post pounder, HPD-20. Works well. The only problem I had was at around 100 poles driven, the main hydraulic shaft got scored and the upper seal was damaged. Worksaver replaced it quickly under warrenty. We suspect that a small piece of metal was in the system at manufacture and got lodged in the upper seal area.

I also have a worksaver landscape rake. I've given it pretty heavy use over the past year, and have never had a problem with it.

My familiarity is with Danuser post hole diggers. Danuser's plant is in Fulton, Missouri -- I have toured it. Fascinating. The company dates back to 1910.

If you really are just going to dig post holes 4" to 6" in diameter, any of the smaller less expensve diggers should perform adequately. If, however, you would ever want augers 16" or larger for foundation piering, tree and shrub planting, etc., Danuser should be on your short list.

For any post hole digger, start with the augers! Look at them IN PERSON if at all possible. Danuser makes augers from 4" to 30" with tooth options, tip options (their Aggressive tip virtually eliminates the use of down force kits), step augers for tree planting, etc.
