Has anyone had any issue with the parking brake on the New Holland Workmaster 55? Mine is stuck, thankfully off. When I pull up on the handle to engage the brake, the mechanism with the pawl doesn't move at all. Hence, the parking brake won't set. I thought it may have been frozen, but it is above freezing today and should have thawed if that were the case. I tried some WD40 but it didn't help. Going to try PB blaster next or perhaps loosening the nut that is holding it on there.

Any thoughts? Just curious if this was common or if I maybe hit the lottery (I always like to think of it that way).

Thanks!

Matt

Well, apparently it was frozen. It got up to 45 today and it was working today. Lesson learned. Have to remember that when it gets cold, as it could be dangerous on a hill. I just put the bucket down the other day to keep it from moving, but still would have rather had the brake too.
