Great tractor

The tractor looks fine, but that loader is strange looking. It would take some getting used to for me. The loader posts are at least a foot forward (maybe 16" by the looks of your toolbox). That really shifts the weight forward on the loader and would seem change the lever length considerably. The extensions on the front bucket cylinders is a bit odd too. The cylinders attach directly to the to the QA adapters instead of having links like most loaders I've seen. None of this may matter one bit, but it sure looks odd.:confused3: I'll take your word for it that it's a fine tractor. I don't mean to say anything bad, but the very different loader geometry cannot be overlooked.

A couple of things I like about the tractor are the lower seating position and the front wheels that can be changed in width with the center hub offset. I know a lower seat takes away some visibility, but I'm not a real fan of operator platforms that have to be completely disassembled to get to the transmission and hydraulic lift.

I guess there is no factory cab either. I like the bigger wheels, but the rest does look a bit different.

I think the loader post location are related to the quick attach/detach system. The bracket actually swings back a bit where it attaches to the tractor. The front end is quick attach/skid steer style as well. We've been moving rock, dirt and bedding with it, and even put on fork lift forks to move fence posts and boards with no issues.

Glad to hear your having a good experience with your 55. I have the red version but the 45. I'm a big fan of these tractors and extremely happy with mine so far.

I have 202 hours on my 55.Only thing I have had problems with was pump presure was not turned up.
Took it back to dealer to check it. Pump was at 2300 not 2500.
55 hp for under 28000 good price for size.

Agree!

In the interest of full disclosure, the tractor in this picture isn't on our farm anymore. At 202 hours, we had a big ditching project coming up on my vacation. While fueling up, I was fiddling with bolts and noticed one of the bolts holding the the FEL/backhoe bracket to the tractor was loose. When the dealer's repair truck came, they found 3 stripped bolt holes on one side and probably more on the other.

No fault of CNH though, the guy who assembled our tractor at the dealership slammed wrong sized bolts (SAE into metric threads in one case and metric fine thread in a couple holes, and too short of bolts in another), ruining the bracket mount on the tractor.

Good news is the dealer made it completely right and swapped us a new WM 55. The new one has 155 hours now and is perfect.

To be fair, the old tractor ran perfectly too, just assembled wrong, pre-delivery.
