What a view of our Interlake fleetmates! Our 767-foot M/V Kaye E. Barker moves into the fork of the Rouge River so the 690-foot M/V Herbert C. Jackson can pass by. The Barker unloaded coal to Zug Island and the Jackson brought in some of the season's final loads of iron ore to Cliffs Dearborn.

Union Pacific has developed a car that will unload ties directly at the place they are needed, rather than sending a car with an excavator/backhoe mounted on it to unload ties. Pretty slick innovation.

Appears to be used by Consolidated Rail Corp, but appears to be owned by the City of Detroit.
