Boy, that's a shame! Fortunately, the locomotive can be repaired
We visited the Strasburg Railroad years ago when living in York County, PA. For train buffs and kids (of all ages), a great place to visit!

I’ve shot video from the bridge in paradise. Doing the runaround. Looks like points were turned wrong, think engine was supposed to go right but went into excavator on the left track. Also engineer was looking out right side of the cab and couldn’t see it.

Looking at google, excavator was on a short siding. If they hadn’t hit it, they would of had worse accident. Looks like whoever parked the excavator on the siding forgot to turn the points back. Looks like excavator has train wheels on it.

On the 5th of September, 1983; 4 USAF F-4E Phantom jets were flying over the Atlantic en route to Europe along with the support of a KC-135 known as

F-4's were a great aircraft...this one, an "E" model, was an air force bird. However, due to it's supersonic design, the F-4's weren't really good at lower speeds.
When they came in for a carrier landing, they came in hot and fast...
