Well, I've finally finished installing 2 forward working lights (50W trapezoid) on the ROPS using 'U' bolts. Wires are held with tie-wraps. Lights come on with the key in the 'acc' position and by toggling an additional switch installed in the dash. The wiring goes through one of the spare fuse location.
My first test drive was OK but I was swarmed with bugs and there was a lot of reflections in my glasses /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif. If my head is behing the lights or putting a tilley hat prevents the glare but I'm still left with the bugs.
Did anyone tried to add the lights to the fixed vertical left and right frame of a loader (the one almost in line with the steering wheels), with an extension attached to the frame to raise the lights high enough ?
If so, is this location far enough not to be bothered by bugs ?
If this solution works please let me know. Although I do not plan to remove the loader, I would use quick-connect plugs for the wiring.
