I'm in and out of the house a lot.

I have some cheap steel toe work boots, but taking them on and off is a huge hassle. They get mucky with slimey clay, so I can't step inside. Heck, walking across the driveway messes up the driveway!

I'd like to find some kind of work boot or shoe that has a steel toe, sturdy sole....that I can take on and off easily.

The traditional design forces me to, essentially, lace up a corset every time I step outside to work.

I've seen some slip on boots, but are there any disadvantages? It's hard to believe that they'll fit nice and secure. I had in mind something more with big straps that I could cinch up tight and then quickly release with some sort of quick-release mechanism.

Does such a beast exist?

Redwings 11 inch tall boots.

I've always been a fan of loose shoes, a tight.... Oh, yeah. Redwings have saved my tootsies many times. I think TSC carries some steel toe wellies - no laces, just a slip on.

I have an 8 year old pair of Carharrt Wellingtons that have taken a lot of abuse, give middling traction, and are comfy. Slip on/off with relative ease.
