First New Years Resolution completed!!
It was to make the ROPS mounted work lights function that I mounted a very long time ago but never wired.........

Real simple using what was on hand: (weak link will be the cheap 110v wall switches)

1-12v Feed wire from battery under the tractor, across transmission, under the seat and up to the top of the ROPs.
2-Outdoor duplex pvc switch box mounted to the sunshade frame above operator.
3-One switch for front pair and one switch for rear light.
4-Cheapo work light pair mounted to the hinge point of the ROPS and the outside of the bar.
5-One work light mounted in the inner hinge point and pointed on the 3pt attachment.
6-Standard 12v relay mounted inside the switch box.
7-Relay piloted by a gel water resistant splice to the right rear tail light under the fender.
8-Plastic loom over all the wiring except at the work lights themselves. (anticipate replacing them often)

Operation:
Headlights must be on to provide power to my new aux light circuit. My tractor will not power the headlights unless the key is on. (i.e. protect the battery from leaving them on)

One switch for front.
One switch for rear.

Again, nothing fancy but it works.

Now on to the #2 New Years Resolution... removing 30lbs around the waist.... :(

Happy New Year all!!
David

Your half way there. Both resolutions are doable and as you learned from the first all you have to do is get to it. Nice job  and good luck.

Thanks Gordon.
Are you enjoying the rain?

I'd like to have work lights on 24" hinged posts to get them up high enough above the rops to light the area and then fold down to hang between the rops when not in use. Something telescopic rather than hinged would work.

Please.

How do you tie into battery?

Details on the relay-maybe a link to a product description.

Wire selection?

Mine is L3240.

Easy to do and cheap as well.
Buy a pack of ring terminals. Maybe $3 for a pack.
In line fuse. Fuse size depends on how many lights you use. I paid a couple bucks for mine.
Basic toggle switch. $4 at Princess Auto
Work light. $8
Roll of 16 gauge wire. I had extra.

Ring terminal to positive battery terminal.
In line fuse as close as you can to terminal.
Fuse to switch. Switch may have 2 ends (power and ground) or 3 ends (power, ground, and accessory)
Power (or accessory) to your light.

Email me here and I will send pics of my set up

Hasn't rained over here yet, kind of thought it would before now. It's 45 out so it'll have to cool down a ways if it's going to switch over to snow.

Did you use just a regular switch or did you get a waterproof one? I've noticed that a rear work light is a must. The first time not being able to see a thing in the dark while backing snow blowing taught me that.

I purchased 2 'tractor worklights' from NAPA, then purchased a toggle switch from Auto Zone(wanted waterproof but no-go), so I mounted the switch under the hood.............(oil should be checked anyway, and it keeps the kids away), installed an in-line fuse, and just ran a hot wire to the back, up the rops, to the lights I mounted on the brackets that surround the turn signal lights. Then I tapped into that hot wire to get power to the LED amber flasher(Advance Auto) that I put on top of the ROPS (magnet mount).

Good call on the water proof switch.
I'm going to upgrade my current set-up.
Will add a relay as well.
